Got a million to spend on a downtown-adjacent Palm Springs property?  I found two this week that might interest you.  One is for those of you who might like a “quirky” fixer-upper, and the other is for those who don’t want to lift a finger!

The “quirky” home is in the Warm Sands community of Palm Springs.  One of the oldest of Palm Springs communities, this home was built in 1937.  (How many of US weren’t even around then?!)  Between the home and the casita, it comes in at just under 1800 square feet.  It is listed as four-bedroom, three-bath, but it is currently set up with three bedrooms (the other room is currently a sitting/living room in the casita).  You would have to see it to believe it – of course, it is not designed in any contemporary manner (I would not recommend the new 7’5” pro basketball phenom purchase it, or he would be hunched over most of the time), but that is part of its quirky charm.  It does have its own private pool and spa that appear to be in good shape.

The “turnkey” property is in a community called 48 @ Baristo (I recently sold a condo here).  This townhouse is quite different from the two-bedroom, 2-1/2 bathroom condo I sold for $790,000.  At over 1700 square feet, this model boasts three bedrooms and four bathrooms on two levels (if you can’t climb stairs, this one is NOT for you!).  One of the bedrooms (it’s currently set up as an office) is open (no walls) on the second-floor landing.  But the unit does have a master suite on the lower floor.  This property has changed hands a couple of times since it was built about 20 years ago, but the most recent owner was an interior designer, and it is being sold partially furnished.  It has a small private pool and a two-car garage (some units have a carport and one-car garage), and if it’s your style, it’s immaculate!

Want to check either of these properties out?  Or is your budget higher or lower?  Looking elsewhere in the Coachella Valley (from Desert Hot Springs to Indio)?  Call me!  Let’s go check out some properties and find the RIGHT home for you!
