I moved to the Coachella Valley (Cathedral City) in 2011, and expect to remain here indefinitely – I can’t imagine anywhere else I would rather live! As a California native who has also lived in Arizona and Nevada, I have a special affinity with clients who love the Southwestern US, and want to live here in our little slice of Paradise!
I earned my real estate license in March 2021, after studying during the COVID-19 pandemic while working for a local property manager as a bookkeeper. I soon discovered that property management is not for me – I don’t like landlords and tenants being angry at me at the same time while I am trying my best to solve their problems! After about six months in that position, I moved to a real estate sales firm, which has been a much better fit for me.
Although I am still a relatively new realtor, I am supported by a great, experienced team at Platinum Star Properties, especially my broker, Carl Borey, and our administrative assistant, David Peters! My goal is to help my clients find the home that works best for their needs.
In 2022, I was surprised at the Platinum Star awards dinner in November to receive three awards – Rookie of the Year, Million Dollar Club, and Top Producer for the entire firm! For my first full year as a realtor, I was very pleased to be recognized for my work and my results.
My normal practice on Wednesday mornings and Saturdays is to look at multiple open houses at various price points around the Valley, and try to look at properties in every neighborhood, community, HOA, and complex in the West Coachella Valley, especially Palm Springs and Cathedral City. (I have hit as many as 18 properties on a Saturday morning/afternoon!) I continue to be amazed at how many different options are available for folks who want to live in the Coachella Valley –anything from $60K mobile homes to $5M+ palaces, and everything in between! And our residents and guests are as varied as the homes available for them to choose!
While I know the Palm Springs/Cathedral City markets best, followed by Rancho Mirage and Desert Hot Springs, I have found properties for clients all over the Coachella Valley (Low Desert). I don’t know what we call the “High Desert” area sufficiently well (Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, 29 Palms) to help a buyer or seller in those markets, and would refer potential clients in those areas to another realtor who services the area.
